These were made by Love Your Mama and exclusively for Love Your Mama. These stamps have been carved by hand based on hand drawn designs. From there, they are hand stamped individually on each bag. It's a labor of LOVE.
The stamps are symbolic of things that represent the Farmers Market & the wonderful season of local abundance around us:
· The LYM branded silicone pint (if you know, you know) is our representation of the iced lattes, iced coffees and cold brews that make wandering around the market that much more enjoyable. Of course instead of in a clear plastic cup with a straw, I, Lizzie, had to do it our way: our favorite reusable cup to go get coffee in. Reuse, reuse, reuse!
· The shishito is something you'll find on Splendid Earth Farm's table regularly. It took me years to learn how to grow my own shishitos, perfecting the light, warmth and water ratios while they were still seeds, the perfect time to harden them off and providing structure when needed. It's now my favorite thing to grow and enjoy all summer long.
· The heirloom tomato. This was based off an actual tomato growing in my garden. What's summer without a perfect heirloom tomato grown in the sunshine?
· The hands! This represents the connection. Catching up with friends or loved ones while you wander around, running into people you know, connecting with local small businesses & and the family traditions around the market. This was inspired by Merry Haven's (a shop here in Berlin!) response to my questionnaire about what the Farmers Market means to them.
· Blueberries and Strawberries: the freshest, healthiest & juiciest when grown locally. They taste like sunshine. Of course, in LYM fashion, we highly recommend buying a TON of these local and fresh when they're in season and freezing for the winter. You can easily toss them into smoothies, make sauces or let them defrost and use.
· Honey: a representation of protecting our pollinators & supporting local.
The totes are organic cotton & 19 x 5 x 15.5 in.
